Taxis from beaches and resorts elsewhere on St. John run to Cruz Bay regularly — from Trunk Bay or Cinnamon Bay, expect about a 15-minute ride.
Tickets are available at the terminal window or online at stjohnticketing.com (via FareHarbor). Baggage costs $4 per bag. No passport is needed — this is a domestic USVI route.
You'll arrive at the Urman Victor Frederick (UVF) Marine Terminal in Red Hook, on the east end of St. Thomas. If you're heading to the airport, Red Hook is about 25 minutes by taxi from Cyril E. King Airport — plan your departure accordingly if you're catching a flight. Taxis are available at the terminal. The Red Hook area also has restaurants, bars, shops, and the American Yacht Harbor if you have time to spare before moving on. If you're continuing to the BVI, cross-border ferries to Tortola depart from the same terminal complex.
